Forces Wives Challenge Booking Conditions

The following booking conditions and the relevant challenge information on the Forces Wives Challenge (FWC) website/challenge-specific email forms the basis of FWC’s agreement with you. Please read the information carefully, by paying a deposit and confirming your place we assume you have read and accept these booking conditions.

1. Making your booking and payment

  • In order to secure your place on a challenge a non-refundable deposit of 50% will be taken. This deposit may vary depending on the challenge and will be defined in an email from FWC. 

  • A final balance will be requested 4 weeks prior to the challenge taking place.

  • If the challenge is within 4 weeks of booking full payment will be taken.

  • If the challenge has a value of £50 or less full payment will be taken on booking.

  • A reminder will be sent when the final balance is due, if payment is not received within 10 days FWC reserves the right to cancel your place. 

    2. Cancellation and transfers

  • Should you need to cancel your place please advise FWC by emailing info@forceswiveschallenge.org as soon as possible.

  • Deposits and final payments are non-refundable once paid to FWC.

  • A transfer to another Forces Wives Challenge member may be possible and we often hold a waiting list. Transfer fees are as follows:

- One day challenges (where no overnight accommodation is organised by FWC): No transfers possible.

- FWC Delivered Challenges (when there is an overnight accommodation): £20 transfer fee to be paid to FWC by the member cancelling. 

- 3rd Party Challenges (where monies are paid directly to the supplier): £20 transfer fee to be paid directly to FWC plus any fees to be paid directly to that supplier as per their booking conditions. 

      3.  Force Majeure

FWC can not refund any monies paid or pay any compensation as a result of Force Majeure. “Force Majeure” means any situation beyond our control, or the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. Situations include (but are not limited to) natural disaster, exceptional adverse weather conditions, fire, threatened or actual riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, the effect of the United Kingdom’s decision to leave the EU or any unique situation that would affect the military community such as death of the Monarch/senior royal, mobilisation of Armed Forces.
