Coaching & Wellbeing Walk FAQ’s

What is a coaching-themed wellbeing walk?

A relaxed guided walk in nature that combines gentle movement with optional coaching prompts and reflection activities focused on wellbeing, resilience, confidence and connection.

What is coaching?

Coaching is a supportive, future-focused conversation that helps people reflect, gain clarity, explore strengths, and consider what’s important to them. Rather than giving advice or telling people what to do, coaching uses gentle questions and reflection to help individuals think about their wellbeing, direction, confidence, and next steps in a way that feels meaningful for them.

Is this therapy or counselling?

No. These walks are coaching-focused rather than therapeutic. They are designed to encourage conversation, reflection, wellbeing and personal growth in a supportive environment.

Will I be expected to talk about personal things?

Absolutely not. There is no pressure to share anything you are not comfortable sharing. You are welcome to simply listen, reflect quietly, or join conversations as much or as little as you choose.

What kinds of topics might we explore?

Themes may include wellbeing, confidence, resilience, purpose, connection, navigating change and recognising personal strengths - all particularly relevant to military life and transitions.

Is the walk focused on fitness?

No - the focus is wellbeing and connection rather than pace or performance. The walks will be gentle, inclusive and suitable for a range of abilities.

Why combine coaching with walking?

Research increasingly shows that movement, nature and reflective conversation can positively support wellbeing, clarity, resilience and stress reduction. Walking side-by-side can often feel more natural and relaxed than sitting in a formal setting.

Do I have to participate in every activity or discussion?

No. Everything is invitational and optional. The aim is to create a safe, supportive space where participants can engage in a way that feels right for them.

If I have any questions before the walk, who do I contact?

There will be a zoom call prior to the walk which tells you all you need to know. If you have questions before then contact: Steph
