This is a challenging mountain expedition suitable for people with previous hillwalking experience and a good level of fitness. The total route length across the two days is approximately 35km, with around 2,400 metres of ascent.

DO I HAVE TO BE A FWC MEMBER TO APPLY?

Yes, to apply to participate in this challenge, you have to be a member of FWC. Please use this LINK to read our membership policy. If you are eligible to become a member and have not yet signed up, please sign up HERE prior to applying for the challenge.

HOW WILL PARTICIPANTS BE SELECTED FOR THE CHALLENGE?

Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please apply using the button below.

What activities will I be doing?

This is a 'Cairngorm 4000s’ weekend, with two days mountain walking and an overnight camp. A good level of fitness would be required as the walks could be 7-10 hours on Saturday and Sunday in local mountain areas.


CAN I BRING MY DOG ALONG?

Unfortunately we can’t have dogs on FWC challenges.

HOW MUCH WILL THE CHALLENGE COST?

The cost for the weekend is £150. A non-refundable deposit of £75 to secure your place is due within 5 days of being offered the place, with the remaining £75 being due 6 weeks before the challenge.
