WHAT WILL I BE DOING ON THE CHALLENGE?
We will be starting at Portballintrae Harbour and following the Causeway Coast Way, a way-marked coastal footpath running along sandy beaches, clifftops and rugged shore. The route takes us past Runkerry Strand and around sandy coves before meeting the dramatic Giant’s Causeway area. From there we will continue eastwards along a cliff-top trail with sweeping views over the Atlantic, dotted with rock stacks, coves and historic sites. The path eventually descends toward Dunseverick Harbour, set by the ruins of Dunseverick Castle on the coastal edge. The walk combines beaches, high headlands and open ocean vistas and is part of the longer Causeway Coast Way linking many of the North Antrim coast’s signature sights.
