DISCOVER EQUINE

20 - 22 april 2026

In April 2026 a small group of FWC women will take part in our second FWC equine camp, with this camp being aimed at novice/beginner horse riders or those with no experience. The camp will be hosted at the RAC Saddle Club in Bovington, Dorset.

DO I HAVE TO BE A FWC MEMBER TO APPLY?

Yes, to apply to participate in this challenge, you have to be a member of FWC. Please use this LINK to read our membership policy. If you are eligible to become a member and have not yet signed up, please sign up HERE prior to applying for the challenge.

HOW WILL PARTICIPANTS BE SELECTED FOR THE CHALLENGE?

Applications for this challenge will be open from Wednesday 10th December - Wednesday 17th December only and following this, names will be drawn at random to allocate the places. All applicants will be informed by Monday 22nd December whether or not a place can be offered to them. Please apply using the button below.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING ON THE CHALLENGE?

The group will ride for 2 or 3 sessions for 2 days and in between riding will get stuck in with learning and experiencing the many aspects of equine care, such as grooming, tacking up, leading in/out of fields and stables, and general horse care and safety around the yard. 

CAN I BRING MY DOG ALONG?

Unfortunately we can’t have dogs on FWC challenges.

HOW MUCH WILL THE CHALLENGE COST?

The cost for the weekend is £170. A non-refundable deposit of £85 to secure your place is due within 5 days of being offered the place, with the remaining £85 being due 6 weeks before the challenge.
