The Gwennili Trust have kindly offered for another 5 groups of FWC women to spend a week in 2026 experiencing an introduction to sailing in the stunning waters of the Solent, off the south coast of England. With no experience required, just a positive 'can-do' attitude and a desire to try something new, is all that is needed!
The dates for the 5 challenge weeks are listed below and an email will be sent to members with details about when each application week will open. Members will have a week to submit their application to take part, and should do so using the relevant application form at the bottom of this page. Names will be drawn at random to allocate the places.

DO I HAVE TO BE A FWC MEMBER TO APPLY?
Yes, to apply to participate in this challenge, you have to be a member of FWC. Please use this LINK to read our membership policy. If you are eligible to become a member and have not yet signed up, please sign up HERE prior to applying for the challenge.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING DURING THE WEEK?
It is an 'Introduction to Sailing' course and the majority of the sailing will be in The Solent and perhaps to Weymouth (weather dependent).
CAN I BRING MY DOG ALONG?
Unfortunately we can’t have any dogs on our challenges.
HOW MUCH WILL THE WEEK COST?
There is a cost of £160 per person. A non-refundable deposit of £80 is to be paid within 5 days of being offered a place on the event to secure your place. The remaining £80 is due 6 weeks before the start of the challenge.
